Best Residential Zero Turn Mower

Looking to buy a residential zero turn mower in Delaware? Trying to determine what the best residential zero turn mower is? At Burke Equipment Company, we’re big believers in the power of the Kubota Z200 and Z400 Series and we’d love to showcase just how capable these zero turn mowers are. Let’s compare them with some of Deere and Gravely’s top residential models to see how they hold up!

Kubota

The Kubota Z200 Series brings you residential capability and nimble maneuverability, with horsepower ranging from 21.5 to 25. You’ll find three standard blades and a cutting height range of 1.5” to 4.25”, letting you find the right cut for your lawn and keep things looking fresh all season long. Whether you decide on the Z231KW-42, Z241KH-48, Z241BR-48, Z251KH-54 or Z251BR-54, you know that you’re getting a zero turn mower with the power, durability and speed you’re searching for.

There’s also the Kubota Z400 Series, comprised of the: Z421KW-48, Z411KW-3-48, Z421KW-3-54, Z422KW-54, Z422KWT-60 and Z421KWT-3-60. The Z400 Series brings you a horsepower range of 22 to 24, a wide operator station, deluxe suspension seat, outstanding Kubota steel and three standard blades, giving you a comfortable experience and a clean cut. It’s also worth mentioning the top-speed of 10 mph and 6.8-gallon fuel tank capacity. Class leading and always exceeding. Now that’s a Kubota.

John Deere

The John Deere Z300 Series offers a robust 20-25 horsepower range and maximum top speed of 7mph across its seven models: the Z335E, Z345M, Z345R, Z355E, Z355R, Z365R and Z375R. Deere boasts complete safety and comfort in the Z300 Series, but the lack of a ROPS (Rollover Protection Structure) and quality construction of Kubota steel leaves much to be desired. It’s pricepoint hovers just under that of the Kubota Z200 Series, but you’re paying for the decrease in craftsmanship. It’s also worth considering the Two-Year / 120 hour warranty on the Deere Z300 Series vs the Four-Year / 300 hour warranty on the Kubota Z200 Series.

Gravely

A Pro Turn ZX from Gravely brings 48, 52 and 60” deck options and a horsepower range of 22 to 23.5, courtesy of the same engines you’d find in the Kubota Z400 Series. You’ll also find 10-gauge steel, just like you would in Kubota’s residential zero turn mowers. However, the 8.5 mph top speed and 5-gallon fuel tank in the ZX Series falls short of Kubota’s offering. Gravely does bring an outstanding Four-Year / 750 hour warranty to the table, but Kubota craftsmanship and durability has long been praised for its quality.

The final verdict on the best residential zero turn mower? When you want the most return for your money, it’s Kubota that you know you can trust. Experience the Kubota difference with the class-leading precision and efficiency of the Kubota Z200 and Z400 Series!
