A Beautiful Machine
I have been doing work on our saltfish/CL tree project of
2001. The tractor that has done the task for all these years
has been a 1952 Ford 8n, a brilliantly designed tractor that
still runs like a champ. The issue though is now that in the
coming years our project has matured and the Ford is
overwhelmed. The good doctor, who is quite clever (wanting
me to stay on the farm) decided to buy me a new tractor...

Drove by store, turned around and stopped in. As I was on my
way to Hoobers, Inc., to look at the RTV that I purchased
from Burke, I passed Burke, and turned around and stopped
in. Dave Babbitt was very friendly and he spent a lot of
time with me. After we had spoken, I told him that I was
also checking other brands and models. Went to Hoober and I
already knew what I wanted, went to speak with the sales
person and he did not want to give me the time of day. He
seemed too busy to deal with customers. I left and, although
pretty much decided, stopped at a JD dealer and a Polaris
dealer, but went back to Dave to seal the deal.

Great buying experience, after sales support was great too!
Service could use a little work possibly? First time in the
service department for warranty work. Explained the fan
shroud was broke and dropped it off just to wait 4 days for
the shroud to come in. Now I have to pick it up and drop it
back off later following week. Not a disaster but could
possibly improved upon and this is not meant as a complaint!
Just a possible improvement area. Great staff! You must be
treating them right! All seem very happy and love their
jobs!
