Burke
Equipment Company Donates Hardworking Kubota Zero Turn Mower
to ABC’s “Extreme Home Makeover”
Burke Equipment Company, a leading construction, landscaping
& residential equipment dealership is donating a Heavy-Duty
Pro Commercial Kubota Zero Turn ZG200 Mower to the
rebuilding of the Jusst Sooup Ranch in Lewes, Delaware.
For 12 years, Dale Dunning has fed the hungry and helped the
needy of Sussex County from her tan RV and at the Rehoboth
Presbyterian Church, earning accolades and national
attention. On Monday morning, another large vehicle pulled
up outside the church hall where Dunning feeds her flock
several days a week -- the famous bus from ABC's "Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition." Dunning will be getting a new home
on a six-acre site near the community of Cool Spring. The
site, to be known as Jusst Sooup Ranch, will feature several
other buildings to help her in her mission. All the
buildings together would total more than 5,000 square feet
and that the site would include a garden.
Our family business saw an opportunity to become involved
with and give back to Dale Dunning who generously reaches
out to needy families said Mark & CeCe Babbit, owners of
Burke Equipment Company. Our daughter, Missy Wagner, made
all the arrangements with the “Extreme Makeover Home
Edition” staff to donate the Kubota Zero Mower, which the
Ken Dunning will use on their new site and for his grass
cutting business.
The Lewes Delaware Episode of “Extreme Makeover, Home
Edition” is their Thanksgiving 2-hour Special Show airing
Friday, November 18 2011 on ABC.

Move That Bus!!!
We have been blessed to be able to contribute & be a
Platinum Sponsor of ABC’s Extreme Home Makeover for the
Dunning Family. When were in Lewes we were amazed to be with
the thousands of local volunteers and to see the round the
clock building organization of this huge project. It was
truly amazing to watch the symphony of 2000 volunteers pitch
in with a paint brush, shovel, pick, serving food, building
steps, hammering beams, roofing, you name it. Due to Irene
hitting town and a tornado in Lewes, 7 days morphed into 10
days.
The morning of the Reveal, we were in a chaotic flurry of
last minute must-be-finished details before the Dunning
family pulled up in The Bus. When it airs, you will be able
see how The Dunning family was so gratefully blown away and
so thankful to be able to serve so many more needy folks
with the beautiful soup kitchen facility, plus their lovely
home, outbuildings & garden.
The day following the Reveal the local media came to cover
the unveiling of all the local donations, like our Kubota
zero-turn mower, plus other donations ~ trailer,
contractor’s work, lumber yards, food donations, dentistry
care, etc. & the many other companies who contributed to
this mission.
Ken Dunning and his son, Brooks, were totally floored when
we uncovered our fast as NASCAR mower for his grass cutting
business. He has been cutting grass since he was 12 and has
only ever had a push mower. This Kubota mower will last him
a lifetime. His business efforts have always help pay for
the soup kitchen needs. Now he can mow quicker and bring in
more $ to the cause, plus be able to cut his new 6-acre
property.
What a gracious lovely family, It was truly our pleasure and
our blessing to be involved & to be able support their
Christian Outreach to the needy.
